CuDi Overload

Tuesday, 1 September 2009

So yeah, yet another CuDi Post. This time he's followed around by our good friends over at New Pop while he's photographed for his URB magazine spread and cover.

He lets mama Contessa ride along with him whilst visiting some of his old places of income.

Very cool concept.

Cooking It Up

Thursday, 27 August 2009

Last week I attended the session of a good friend of the site, John "Chef" Okello. I was privileged enough to watch him work and just generally chill and cut it up with him.

We will be working on something together but in the meantime, check out the footage of the session below.

Classic virals never get old.

David Blaine Street Magic Part 2 - Funny Video

Career Change?

Trevor Smith a.k.a Busta Rhymes has always held the crown as hip hop's clown prince. Even when he was reciting some of the hardest darkest spine tingling verses on albums, he still managed to pepper them with his own brand of humour.

So now that his albums are barely breaking even anymore, would it be wrong to suggest he diversify his career into comedy writing or conceptualizing?

Why? Well, take a look at the viral below which features the many faces of Trevor.

Convinced?

Chuckle

This is the Tokyo fire department's rescue robot that's meant to extract injured people from environments to dangerous for fire fighters.

Great idea, means well but for some reason watching this demo makes me chuckle.

Maybe its because it slyly looks like a human shredder

Apple Store Kid.

Tuesday, 18 August 2009

This kid is amazing! He records videos of himself lip syncing songs in an Apple store.

I give him two thumbs because I'd be too embarrassed to try something like this.
And apparently he makes $2,000 a week doing videos like this. Umm ... why am I in college again?

The eternal battle rages...Just watch, then decide who won.

Saturday Morning Virals

Saturday, 8 August 2009

My scheduled meeting got cancelled, so I decided to do what any human living in this century does to help pass some time before the next meet in a few hours. Scour the net!

Found some goodies for you.

Once again, Nike drop yet another viral. This time for basketball shoes.

Is Nike exploiting the current coolness of everything 90s and skateboard related for their own selfish gains? Some "real heads" from both cultures seem to think so. I'll let you decide...Great marketing nevertheless.

Next up those VA boys, The Clipse and their mentor Skateboard P (Exploiting the current coolness of skate culture are we, P?) drop the video to their song, "I'm Good".

Enjoy those and I'm off to my second meeting.

Come Grime With Me

The Canadians Are Coming?

Monday, 1 June 2009

With Drake the cause of a bidding war between two big record companies, is it safe to say the land of the maple leaf is about to start churning out the next generation of hip hop emceees?

I think so. Watch Shad tear down this freestyle. This kiddies, is what a real emcee, notice I typed EMCEE and not mc, should sound like.

If you have not got his first album, The Old Prince, you lose at life.

That is all.

"Ain't Nothing Like A Brooklyn Girl"

Friday, 22 May 2009

Hahahahahahahahaha...His own words have come back to haunt or rather, smack him in the face.

As you may be able to tell, I'm not a fan of this guy and never got what all the hype around him was.

As Promised

Comic Book Geeks

Tuesday, 19 May 2009

I met Thai on Sunday for a meeting to discuss some things. Afterwards we hit up Forbidden Planet, London's biggest comic book store.

Here's what happened.

Check back tomorrow for part II when we go hunt for the Spiderman Noir comic book.

In other news, I also managed to finally get my hands on a pair of syndicate suicidal tendencies...Ohhhh. Ok, I'm done.

Pure Luck & Chance.

This is an insane video of pure luck and chance ...

Reporters Without Borders

Tuesday, 12 May 2009

Whilst doing some work with Jay yesterday, we took a break and looked through some of his design blogs. We came across a series of videos on an interesting site called, Scary ideas.

In their videos section we found a few videos with something to do with press freedom, or freedom or information if you will. We found them quite funny but still thought provoking.

Have a look at some below.

Comedienne Wanda Sykes at the recent white house correspondents dinner.

"Who's idea was it to give the queen an iPod? Could'nt you have given her something more American, like say Texas?"

A must watch.

What's Real And What's not?

Sunday, 3 May 2009

Don't know the difference when it comes to the images you see in today's hip hop? Well, Malice of the Clipse helps you understand the real from the entertainment.

Listen carefully now.

From The Hoop

A really cool piece of 3d animation a friend posted on my facebook feed. It was made by a couple of students from Supinfocom Arles in 2008.

The story is about a character named Earl, who is fleeing from Harlem to better his life. From the makers, "The story is widely inspired by the life of Earl Manigault, one of the greatest basketball players of his generation who lost everything to drugs.

The end of his life was dedicated to helping the children of Harlem from having the same story.

So he started the "Walk Away From Drugs" tournament for kids. He died in 1998 from a heart failure."

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Saturday, 4 April 2009

If you ever wanted that rave experience, but you're too lazy to actually snort, smoke, drink, grope, and get your ass handed back to you on a gravel platter, here's a nice little short I stumbled upon that packages such an awesome night on the town into a first-person POV animated short. Walt Disney would be so proud.

For our second program, we salute our distinguished men in uniform who've kept us all safe from the COBRA organization for nearly four decades.
