Web Watch: Chopper City Suit

Friday, 24 April 2009

What do you do when you're an ex member of the rap group, and I use the word rap group loosely, with the worst name in living history and a reality show drop out?

Well, if your name is Chopper or Chopper City to address him with his full moniker, you start a beef with one of the members of said group only to have it back fire on you and have your suit gain more popularity than yourself.

You have NO idea what I'm talking about do you? Well, I'll elaborate. Mr Chopper (no homo) following in the veins of today's generation YouTube rappers put a video on world star hip hop (The hub of this ignorance currently plaguing hip hop), where he proceeds to berate E Ness, also from Da Band for what goes on like an eternity.

All the while, dressed in a suit clearly too big for his frame and looking like a family heirloom handed down from generation to generation. The footage is so ignorant it became an overnight internet success with the suit becoming the butt of many jokes.

Hilarious, right? But it does not stop there...Oh no, not by any chance. The great online community took that ridiculous looking suit and made it a celebrity in it's own right. So much so that it has, it's own myspace page, personal profile on 50cent's online community along with a fitting soundtrack (Jay Z's "Change clothes and go"), a twitter profile and finally it's very own website with real time message board.

"But but but wait...It gets worse!" because, even his peers join in to laugh at his attempt to diss anyone whilst in a family hand me down.

Reactions to Chopper's suit from Bow Wow and Lil Wayne and crew.

After an epic fail at dissing anyone and the horrendous display of fashion retardation, Mr Chopper offers yet another video to the fans, all 21 of them where he shows off his money and announces the release of a Chopper's suit mix tape, and goes after Lil Wayne (Oh lord, it's about to be a career ender).

Ignorance at it's finest, but hey, you have to admire the American ingenuity. He's actually trying to capitalise off the whole charade.
